Educationally, Elizabeth received her associates degree in nursing from Itawamba Community College in 1992. In 1996, she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of North Alabama. Ever determined to expand her knowledge in a complementary field, Elizabeth attained a Masters in Information System Management with emphasis on health information management from Devry University in 2008. Additionally in 2008, she acquired her National American Nurses Credentialing Certification in geriatrics. 

Recognizing the importance of iron sharpening iron and community engagement, Elizabeth has been an active member of the Eliza Pillars Registered Nursing of Mississippi Organization for approximately 30 years. She has remained committed to serving in a variety of capacities including but not limited to participating in screening endeavors, providing health education, and attaining up-to-date professional development to be an informed practitioner. Elizabeth, like all District I membership, seeks to embody and execute the vision and mission of the association in Northeast MS, and support other districts throughout the state. 

Beyond her professional life, Elizabeth is a mother of two adult children, a nana to five amazing grands, a sister, an aunt, a niece, a Child of God, friend, avid reader and traveler.
