Willie “Mae” Jackson, District II, President
Willie “Mae” Jackson is President of EPRNM District II. Mae has been an active member of Eliza Pillars for many years. Prior to being elected President, Mae served District II as Recording Secretary, Chair of the Pearl Project for District II, and served on the By-Laws and Finance committee.
Mae Received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Mississippi Delta Community College in 1987. She received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Nursing Administration from Delta State University. She is a member of MNA and is a Board Member of Habitat for Humanity of Greenville.
Mae’s career began at Delta Regional Medical Center in 1982 and except for a brief separation remains there today where she is Assistant Director of Home Health and Hospice. Her vision for the members of District II is to continue to increase visibility in the community, serve as community educators where necessary and to mentor young nurses entering the profession so that they will realize that they are not working a job but embarking on a career path that is at times challenging but wonderfully rewarding.
Events, Activities & News
District II – Greenville: Continued to be involved in the community. On March 19, 2016, District II held their annual PEARL Health fair at the ELKS Lodge in Greenville. They had 13 Exhibitors and 19 volunteers. There were 40participants and 13 vendors. The members worked relentless to make this event a success. They provided blood pressure, Glucose, cholesterol, weight and BMI screening.
